GoPro Cozumel uses the most modern technology incorporating a premier classroom for the PADI IDC, Instructor Development Course in Cozumel Mexico. Mike Sobel is an award winning  PADI Course Director with experience in teaching and working all around the world. GoPro Cozumel teaches the PADI IDC to exceed all minimum requirements having you well prepared to join the work force as a PADI Scuba dive Instructor. While many IDC's are only 9 to 11 days, we have extended our PADI IDC to include 14 days of training. These extra days make your in classroom time per day shorter and gives you more in-water training sessions. The 14 day schedule has been proven to give all our candidates an advantage over the shorter IDC's. We limit the size of the class to no more than 8 candidates per IDC. This gives you a more personal feel about the program and the opportunity for our CD to give you plenty of one on one attention and instruction. Not all candidates progress at the same pace so we have implemented many additional Theory and Standard exams, a variety of additional practical in-water application learning sessions, an abundance of skill workshops and extra academic presentations so that when the IE and more importantly your first job arrives, you are very well prepared to handle the situation.

The MSDT (Master Scuba Diver Trainer) Program:
This program will give you the edge over other instructors looking for that dream job. With the MSDT program your free accommodations are still available and within a few days after the IE you will be training for the 5 Specialty instructor courses that interest you. After a week of scuba diving instruction and in-water training you will have the chance to continuing on and teach 25 students to achieve your MSDT rating. You will work along side our highly trained staff instructors and be shown how to teach full courses. Then you will have the ability teach PADI Open Water, PADI Advanced, PADI Specialty and PADI Rescue Diver courses with our staff right there helping you as needed. This scuba instructor training is invaluable and will make you a more experienced instructor ready to land that first job.
If you're not a PADI Divemaster and want to be so that you can take our IDC don't worry.
We have the best PADI Divemaster Internship program in the world. The Divemaster Internship is the first level of becoming a PADI professional. GoPro Cozumel can take you from any level diver or non-diver and turn you into a Divemaster in as little as 4 weeks. Our Divemaster Internships will have you working along side REAL Divemasters. You know the guys that do this every day for a living. That way you can learn from the best in the industry. You will learn how to manage dive sites, lead fun dives and assist in scuba courses. While the main focus is on education we believe that you must also gain experience from the life style of being a Divemaster. Therefore, we make sure that every candidate is exposed to as much fun and adventure as possible both on the job and off. By the way, your Divemaster internship course will be taught by not only an experienced Master Instructor but also by our Course Director.
